It all started with Sixty Something Sheep.
Sixty Sheep is a small holding, located in rolling countryside of Herefordshire. We would love to tell you a romantic story that our farm was handed down to us by our grandfathers through the generations, but truth be told, we’re new age farmers. So although this isn’t a story about heritage, it is a story about a passion to raise stock to be proud of, that we happily put our stamp on. The ability to produce grass fed, premium lamb in an ethical & sustainable way.
‘I’ll be home later, I’m picking up Sixty Something Sheep’…
and as they say the rest is history.
Long forgotten under a mist of the digital age we get back to free range farming, raising stock the old fashioned way. Respectfully & sustainably holding on tight to our mission, ‘to ensure the path we take, ‘farm to fork’ is one we are proud of’.
Home Grown Quality
We set out with a mission, that sheep farming should be good, slow & ethical. We believe that a small scale sustainable farm with the highest standards is far better for the animal, the local ecosystem & you, our consumer. We assure you, the path we take from farm to fork is one to be proud of.
We strategically only produce & offer exceptional meat for you to trust, enjoy & share with loved ones once a year. This decision was made to ensure we could remain confident in the quality we produce.
Sixty Sheep work hard all year round to ensure our meat upholds the highest levels of quality. Our breeding stock live healthy, care free lives & produce, in many cases multiple lambs during the breeding season. Their very natural & slow going lifestyle means they can be left to do what they do best, graze.
We breed strong, independent Exlarna and Easy Care sheep. Our selection comes from a mixture of proven stud rams and strong, well-bred ewes. By nature, this breed boasts a hardy & worm resistant mix, which means we have very little input in terms of antibiotics & wormers. Treatment is kept to a very minimum which we believe is the key to our meats full, real flavour.
